Question 99 mustang motor to a 97 mustang

hi...does anyone know if a 1999 mustang motor would beable to go into a 1997 mustang

well i got ahold of an interchange book and a 99 wont work only a 98 and 97 will work..thanks though

it will work if your willing to do some work to it, its just not a direct drop in... hell you could put a 460 in it if you really wanted to

thanks someone else told me that too after posting this however im doing the work with my father in the yard so dont really want to get that complicated..i found a motor it will be deliverd tomorrow and we are going to try and put it in saturday...we found some stuff online giving step by steps on how to do it...
