99 Blazer Dash Electrical Problem
I need some help with an electrical problem. Some of my gauges, radio, etc, had been flickering on and off and I was able to trace the problem back to the fuse box on the left side of the dash. One section of the fuse box has no power and when I checked the 4 heavy gauge wires that provide power to the fuse box, one of them has no power – it is the pinkish coloured wire. The wire goes back into the left upper side of the dash and is very difficult to trace back there. Does anyone know where this wire goes and where I should be looking for a break in the circuit? Does anyone have a detailed wiring diagram? Is there any relation to the box with all the relays up in the dash? I just need to know where to look to find out where the break in the power is. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 99 Blazer Dash Electrical Problem
Thanks Tempfixit, those diagrams were a big help. I traced the problem back to an open circuit under the hood. That problem is fixed, but now I have other issues - the fuel guage is not working, the radio/cd seems to work fine except there is only static no audio, the power seat works, but the seat memory buttons don't work, the security light seems to stay on...everything else seems to be fine...for now!
I will do some digging on this forum to see if there is any info on these problems. I am wondering if there is some kind of module that could have been damaged as a result of the other problem I was having. |
