Single Girl Needs Car Help!
So I currently have an old school Camry and have been thinking about getting an accord because it looks sportier than what I have now. I live on my own and don't have the luxery of a guy to help me look at cars and I really have no idea what I'm doing here....I've heard that Honda's are good cars. Would this be a good car for me to buy?

Re: Single Girl Needs Car Help!
You don't have to claim to be "single" to ask us guys questions here
That year Accord is good I like it, but the price is not good. Try look around on Craigslist.org you might find something similar for lower price.Exterior: It's alright not the best looking car in the world but the quality/engineer is very well done, no cheap-get-by design. Very solid built. Paint quality is very good as well. Interior: Very peaceful, no bias design, the trims are vinyl/leather, no cheap plastic interior, very easy to maintain. Drivablilty: V6 is strong and doesn't eat gas, but 4 cylinder is good enough if you don't do alot of crazy gasing and accelerate. I get about 320 miles per tank (~14 gal of gas) on both local and freeway drive everyday. Transmission is if-fy, you have to test drive it to see if it will slip and jerk. If it's smooth and tight, than it's a keeper. Resale vaule is very good too. Good luck!

Re: Single Girl Needs Car Help!
Service the trans as soon as you can on any used Honda automatic. The manual says something like 100k mi. The dealers offer "recommended" trans service at 36k. Independents say 15-25K. This is because the ATF volume is on a couple quarts. I brought this up when my wifes Accord trans dumped at 86K and Honda warrantied the trans.
