94 Supreme elec. problem - no power

I have a 94 Cutlass Supreme that will not start. The battery tested good, as have the starter and the alternator (all were removed and taken to repair shops for testing.) With the battery connected, there does not seem to be any power to the car. No lights, no dash gauges, etc. Connecting the vehicle to an external power source such as a battery charger or another vehicle, all components work and the car starts and runs. It immediately dies when the external power source is removed. Battery connections are clean and tight. There is continuity from the neg. lead to both the body and the block and from the pos. lead to the batt. post on the starter, from the pos. lead to the batt. post on the alternator, from the pos. lead to the power center and from the batt. post on the alternator to the batt. post on the starter. This has me baffled. Any ideas what to check?

Re: 94 Supreme elec. problem - no power

That is the same problem I have only my 92 cutlass will run with the power source removed, but will not start again sounds like you have a short somewhere. In my case if I ohm out the pos and neg cables they are a dead short, but i'm not sure what is causing it.
