Automatic Transaxle problems

i have a
1995 Mazda 626 lx 4cylinder
I took apart the trani to do routine maintenance and found out
that my trani is a Ford not a Mazda trani
but i wouldnt know what kind of Ford would have a trani that would work
on my Mazda so i posted here.
The problem is i removed this part and ive never worked on a car with a part like this, and it doesnt want to go back in.
anyone know how to get it back in the right way?
