Flip down monitor recommendations

I'm looking for brand recommendations for 15" or larger LCD flip down (ceiling) monitor. Prefer monitor only (no DVD).

Thanks.

Re: Flip down monitor recommendations

Depends on what you are looking to spend, i just got a set of 8" nitro ones, i know they arent a set of clarion or DEI's, but for what i paid you cant beat it, i think it was 212 shipped for the set. When i was looking i seen a bunch of bigger screens. There have been alot of brands making them and the ones i have heard alot of trouble with have mainly been valor, i havent heard anything about TKO, or XO visions.

Look at sites like www.sonicelectronix.com, www.onlinecarstereo.com and ebay for lower prices and also do a google search to check any reviews of the model or brand in question. These screens are fairly simple so its pretty hard to make a junk one. I havent been dealing with the video area of car stereos for long but the best thing to do is research, i know i could have spent 250-300 for a great set of screens but i dont need to go full blown high quality for my video setup, that leaves me more money for the audio setup.

Don't ever look at cars as just imports or domestics. Just because a car is made in a certain country doesn't mean that it is anything like another car from that country. An example of this is Mitsubishi reliability, just because they are Japanese doesn't mean that they are as reliable as a Honda or Toyota.
