Crank no start

Ok so it started about 4 days ago when i turned off my car my fuel pump would stay on and i couldnt get it to turn off. I was in a hurry for work so i took my other car and just disconnected the negative battery terminal to stop the fuel pump. Later that day when got home i put the cable back on the battery and started my car and when i turned it off my fuel pump turned off just like normal. So i thought that was kinda weird but i drove my car the whole rest of the day with no problems. But the next day i went out to my car i went to go to start it and i had no power at all, not even dash lights. So i charged up my battery and now my car cranks but wont turn over. I think it might have something to do with the fuel because i cant hear my fuel pump at all when im cranking and i have a walbro 255 so you can hear it when its working. does anyone have any ideas on what it could be other than just i new fuel pump. Or how to check the fuel pump operation????/

Re: Crank no start

are you getting power to the fuel pump? should be able to check with just a volt tester...

Re: Crank no start

You sound to be having a short on your fuel pump circit somewhere, if I were you d do a bit of searching for it and if you cant find it, go ahead and upgrade, wire in a new switch for the fuel pump for added securty, its a common mod f you do some searchng. but dont keep wasting batteries in the mean time.

Re: Crank no start

If it's a turbo, check your fuel pump relay in the engine bay. Also, check your caps on your ecu. Post up your model and year and I can help you out more.
