02 Cavalier
Ok, my girlfriends car is an 02 Cavalier. The drivers side headlight keeps burning out the high beam bulb. Also the daylight running lights flicker on and off for a couple seconds and then just shut off when the car is put into gear. What would be causing this? Same problem for both or different for each? Thanks!

Re: 02 Cavalier
wiring up front likely . Bad joint . Your`not touching the bulb with bare hands are you? The oil in your fingers apparently buggers the bulbs. the high beam wire is pink and on my `00 Sunfire the joint in question was located just under the left side (DS) headlight . my car drl`s would also flicker and go out when put in gear. Pass side headlight went out on mine then both when I started poking around, but I found the rotton culprit ..........lol. hope this helps

Ya...sound like wiring to me also...make sure all connections are NOT corroded. Live where there is salt on the roads ??
One other thing to check...I found this on a Nissan a bloke brought in......Checked the output of the Alternator.....the voltage requlator went bad and voltage was over 16volts....burning out the headlight bulbs....and the CD play was making Dr. Dre/Snoop Dogg... sound like AC/DC !! Cheers.....JzJzz.... and the Man from Down Under ...time to a Handle and get Stonkered !!! |
