PLEASE HELP!!!!!!! 2001 eclipse spyder gt check engine light

Hi i just bought a 2001 eclipse spyder a few days ago and the check engine light is on... I have a hand held obd 11 scanner and i plugged it in to the computer and it says egr valve circuit malfunction... The dealer I bought it from said that they just replaced the EGR valve and i was told that it could possible be the ports that the EGR valve sits on could be dirty, Is that true??? Is that what the problem is or could it be something else??? Thanks for your help

Well, if you just bought, bring it back to them and let them deal with it...you ahve to have at least some sort of warranty on it.

I know this is old, but next time ask for the code. If it's P0441, 99% of the time it's a loose gas cap.
