south bay/L.A. area shops question

ok im looking for a shop in l.a. or south bay area to buy a 96-00 gsr engine (with LSD tranny) and install. im going to upgrade internals and everything while the engine is easily accessible. also looking for a good paintshop. going to paint the engine bay while it is empty. just want to know if anyone has gotten any work done in that area. i live near fresno which is why im not down there researching, but i have family down there and i could stay at their house until the car is done. going to turbo the motor as well and drop the car. basically put 10-12 grand into it while im there if anyone replies with good news. i drive a 1995 civic ex. thank you very much!
