I tryed reading your other posts but could not get into them. Could you fill us in as to what you have and have NOT done. Which engine????????????

If it is a 3.3 try checking your coil pack, it looks like the # 2 and # 5 clyinders are feed by the same coil in the coil pack.

Re: stupid van!!!

it is a 3.3... changed the coil pack twice ( just incase one was defective), spark plugs and wires, cam shaft sensor, crank shaft sensor, cheked all the wiring and the fuses....I am lost- PCM seems to be fine as well.

Re: stupid van!!!

When you say the PCM appears good does that mean you're seeing a pulse on a test light from all 3 driver circuits. It should flash. If it's steady or there's no light the PCM is toast. Have you checked injectors? How's compression?

Re: stupid van!!!

Power is supplied by the ASD relay dark green wire if I remeber right. The other three wires go back to the PCM when those circuits are gounded by the PCM the coils will spark. 2&5 is the K17 circuit Dk blue wire with a tan tracer and is in cavity 3 at the PCM.

really? I used Bosch +4's and haven't had any problems at all. Didn't see any improved performance, and won't use them again, but I don't have any problems at all.

This is based on info from a Haynes manual. The coil drivers are in the PCM. They fire the 3 individual coils in the coil pack by supplying a ground for power from the ASD relay. One driver for each coil in the pack. You test them at the coil pack harness connector using a test light connected to the + battery connection. The connector has 4 contacts on it. 3 are the driver circuit outputs from the PCM. DON'T TEST THAT 4th CONTACT. It has a dark green/orange wire attached. You can fry the PCM. As you crank the engine to test the drivers the test light should blink on and off. If one or more won't blink, the PCM is bad. If none of the 3 blink, the problem is likely in the cam/crank ASD circuit. You should only see that if the van won't start. Not your headache.

You should see 4 wires at the back of the coil pack connector:

dark blue with tan stripe wire - driver for coil firing cylinders 2 and 5 (if your PCM is bad you won't get a blink here)
gray with red stripe wire - driver for coil firing cylinders 1 and 4
red with yellow stripe wire - driver for coil firing cylinders 3 and 6
dark green with orange stripe wire from ASD relay - DON"T TOUCH

Started with Champions. Worked fine. Put Autolites in it 80K miles ago because store was out of Champions. Still works just fine.

Re: stupid van!!!

One more small step before you spend the bucks. If you haven't already, disconnect the PCM connector and inspect the contacts for that wire. Make sure its not corroded or bent. Now using an ohmeter check continuity of the wire. You never know. It could be broken somewhere along it's length especially if as you say "I get nothing". If you see infinite resistance, find the break, splice the wire, and your done. Maybe you'll luck out with a $.20 fix.

Don't recall specifics but there are companies that will send you a rebuilt PCM (doubt you can get a brand new one) or you can send yours in, have it repaired and returned. There are a fair number of threads on the subject in the forum. Use the search feature. CAN ANYONE HELP HIM ON THIS?

Keep an eye on the new thread I just posted titled "Best Sources for New PCMs".
