engine poor acceleration help!!!

my civic 2000 ex had a engine swap, everything runs fine but i have notice the acceleration dont respond as it used to, last night coming from work i decided to accelerate to high rpm then the car burst some real power. might this be a electrical problem, the swap is a japanese engine, please help.

lack of low end power could be a clogged cat, bad plugs/wires, clogged fuel filter... etc... do a tune up and see if that helps

well anything is posible, the wierd thing is when i accelerate to 5500rpm gets lots of power like it had a turbo on it. wierd i never seen anything like it, i have been aroun cars my entire life and cant figure this one out, might be out of time the distributor?

The catalytic converter and fuel filter generally kill you at high RPM's. Check for vacuum leaks. Check your air flow sensor, it may be bad or just need cleaning. Also check the air filter to make sure it isn't damaged or wet.
