91 stealth trans problem

I have a 91 dodge stealth fwd automatic> When i shift from park to drive or reverse, it lunges or jumps into gear. Other day i shifted from park to reverse and got nothing. Eventually it engaged into reverse after a few minutes. Also, the power/economy rocker switch next to shifter is stuck. Any suggestions?

Re: 91 stealth trans problem

May want to look at the shifter linkage connection under your air intake pipe in your engine bay. Thats where the arm that connects to the lever you pull to put it into drive, to the transmission. Then you may want to consider changing your transmission fluid and filter. Sometimes that fixes some of the minor transmission problems.
