Question Tranny would not shift.......

98 Jimmy.
Got in the truck......gauges (speed, tach, fuel and trip) would not work. Checked fuse. It was loose. Pushed it in. Put truck in reverse and all was well. Got to the store and I put in Drive and it was only creeping even with pedal applied. Checked fliud, all is well and no smell or burnt signs. Not the first noise happened. Went to check again. Works Fine now.

Any Ideas on what might be wrong. Could it be in the fuse panel with the gauges and stuff on it. I was thinking maybe a sensor or something but I really have no Clue.

Thanks!!

Re: Tranny would not shift.......

Recheck that fuse and other fuses and switch power key on and plug in and wiring.
98 is close to the known 97 ign switch problems.
Any codes or check engine lights on?
Always check fluid level hot in park.

No Codes. I checked fliud after it was hot in park. When the my dash panel was acting up. I could not remove my key from the ignition switch. I forgot to put that in there. Thanks.
