2000 Jetta GLS problem, please help!

I have a 2000 Jetta GLS and the other night my boyfriend left the keys in the car all night from the time we got home, about 11pm until I realized it when I went towork about 6am (I don't know, this might have nothing to do with it but I don't know)

Anyway, so I started it up and it started kinda wierd but started, I drove it to work then home around 3, well on my way home I noticed my battery light lit up, it was solid. About 5 minutes later my ABS light lit solid, 2 seconds later another icon lit solid, 2 seconds later my gauges froze, staying at 40 mph and everything, I turned my stereo off to save power, I finally got home, turned my car off and tried starting it up and it was making a flickering noise and the fan was barely moving, we tried jumping it and nothing... then today (the next day) its completely dead.

When it was trying to crank over though, my stereo was dead and wouldn't turn on.

If anyone has annny idea at all can you please reply or email me or something, id like to get other people pov before I take it to that damn dealership so they don't talk to me like I know nothing, cause im a girl.

Thanks everyone!
