Is it possible to take a non targa top Mk IV and make it a targa top??? I am looking at a 1993 TT without the sport roof and i like the sport roof. let me know, thanks.

uh no. Besides a hardtop is more rare than a targa anyways. The hardtops ride better and are lighter as well. If you want a targa just get a targa top.

Yes, it is true that hardtops are rarer than targa tops. They are also lighter by maybe only 50lbs. But you can get the targa top cheaper now than the hardtop even though the targatop had a higher MSRP.
If you are going to build the ultimate race Supra, then get a hardtop. If you want the truely exotic look get the targa. Trust me, nothing turns the ladies heads like a Supra with the top off. This is the feature that makes the Supra a true exotic. However, there are kits I have seen for Mustangs for targa tops so it is possible to create a targa but not worth it. Plus it would be akin to heresy to mutilate any Supra. |
