My 99 Astro daytime running light will not work.. The light on dash says they are but they are not on.. Also when doors are open the dome lights do not come on.. In order for dome lights to work I musy push button for each individual light.. Any one know how to fix these problems?

Re: 99 Astro Dome and Daytime lights
i would replace the headlight switch they go bad and burn up sometimes. it would be cheaper than any fix at a dealer . ebay for a new one (only buy new GM ,never used)

Re: 99 Astro Dome and Daytime lights
The daytime lights are probably out because the diode is defective , you can know this if your high beams still work but drl's don't. The drl diode is located behind the drivers doorpost under the plastic coverings. If the interior lights come on when you use the dimmer switch then it could be the door switch or maybe the cut off button is pressed in , the lights you are using with the buttons are map lights and are on different ciruits than the dome lights. You might check the fuse box for a blown fuse before any other attempts at fixing the lights.
