If your shopping for a GPS

Today is the last day of the sale for the MIO C230 at Radio Shack.
129.99 from 200 or so. With the 2yr warr its 159

This is a great GPS unit with Text to speach and also has ECO route Calulations, Save some fuel while your at it..
Routes include, Eco, Fast, Shortest with Car, Truck, Bus, Taxi and Emergency vehicles.

The Mapping is right on minus a few new roads or intersections..
It is also way faster then my wifes tomtom one 3rd when calculating or just zooming in map view. TOMTOM is easy, but missing alot of great features the mio has...

Before you try it out in the car, I would learn how to use the system first.. Keep your eyes on the road!!!

Very nice unit, and for half the price of other name brands with all the features. Any questions just ask Ill help you out..

You can also run windows ce 5 with a simple install to a SD Card. Plug in your card and your in windows. Movies mp3 games etc.. Keeps the kids busy when your at the doctors office.. I have that info also if you like it.

Heres the link for a new unit http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...entPage=family

I've got the same unit and it does work nice. Has a very clear screen unlike the reviews on the C220, has fast route recalculations, and text to speech is a nice bonus. I was amazed at the price, then this weekend saw the ads for the all new Mios so they appear to be closing out the C230.

Dont know.. But I know they are 199 again online. Newegg they are 159.99. The c220 is the older version that the c230 replaced. They are two different units and the c230 has a all new platform and form factor. I did hear you can upgrade the software for the c220 tho by a bit of hacking, but the Sifi Chipset isnt the New Fast Tracking chip so dont know how it performs.

Have you tried the Windows CE hack yet? Very cool, and movies, mp3s and photos are a nice feature.

Nope, but I definitely made a note of it. Any links you have to steps or info would be appreciated.

This unit lets you stick to the basics if you want, or really dive into a million configuration settings to really personalize it. I like that flexibility, but haven't had the time to play around with it yet.
