1967 Malibu rust problem

Have a 1967 Chev Malibu with a trunk rust problem. Where the key lock is located is rot, the metal just flakes away, and the center of the trunk is eaten through. Best way to deal with this?

You could give it to me...
Sounds like you would be better off replacing the panel.

possibly a new aftermarket panel is available. Try 'Year One".

Re: 1967 Malibu rust problem

Thanks for the offer The rust is mostly on the panel between the tail lights and the trunk bottom. There is light surface rust in some areas. Will add pictures soon.
