Complete: 06 #63 Alms C6r

Just in time for the NNL East. I finished this BAD BOY up last night at about 2am. Scale Motorsports trans. kit with the Revell C6R kit. The paint is Corvette Le Mans yellow from Zero paints toped with Omni clear. I added some detail to the interior but, as you can see, it pretty much all gets covered up.

I am very pleased with the results! The only real issue was getting the door windows to fit. For anyone planning on building this kit, leave the metal door frames off & glue the windows to the body & top of the doors. The metal frames just did not fit right.

Questions, comments, critiques welcome!

SEX(y?)

Thats what this car is!

Seriously, very nicely done. Great weathering on the wheels, and decals look nice.

Great job! Your detailing really steps this kit up a notch!

How did you detail the headlight covers and are those brakes the kit brakes? Did you have the fitment issues with the front wheels?

The black rings around the head lamp covers are decals that came with the kit. They are a nice touch too... The calipers, rotors, & hats are all included in the kit.

For the wheels I omitted the metal axles & glued the wheels directly to the spindles. This allowed me to adjust the ride height to make the car sit lower.

The hood pins are just plain old stick pins painted black. The safety releases are PE bolt heads painted clear blue.

WOW!
That looks fantastic.

Definitely inspiring me to do better on my next C6R build sometime later.

Wow, that is sick man. By far your best build yet, nice touch with the weathering. Not overdone but enough for the effect. Makes me wish I had made the trip to NJ to see that one in person. opcorn:

Great work. I especially like the rims you used. The look more real than the kit ones.
