Re: left front electric window

You need to unbolt the window from the motor and pull the window up. use a wood shim to hold the window up untill you can get it fixed. The shim is a trick I use in my junk yard to keep the windows up and cars. Many have missing regulators and motors, I like to keep them dry inside and varmits out. I should have a good used regulator, 15.00 plus shipping let me know if interested. Thanks

Re: left front electric window

If the motor is good, I wouldn't replace it. There are three screws that hold the motor to the regulator, I believe they are a square or torx bit head. The motor has to come off the regulator assembly to install or remove. There are holes in the door metal to go through to access the screws, remove the inside door handle and lock slide that will help. I also find it easier to remove the window from the door to have more room to work in there, it is tight. You will have to drill out some rivets to get the regulator assembly out, 1/4 20 bolts can be used to reinstall. I do have some motors if you need them. Let me know if you have any more questions. If I had a good camera and a camera man I would do a how to video on this. Unfortunately I don't have a video camera any more.

Re: left front electric window

Hi Tom

I took some pictures, see link below for the locations where you will need to drill out the rivets. There are two nuts circled at the top location on the regulator. There are also two rivets to drill out where the window connects to the regulator. You will have to have the motor removed so you can move the window down far enough to get to those rivets. Let me know if you want it for sure and I will remove it from the car. The one I took the pictures of will be easy to remove, since it has been replaced already and has been bolted in. I would include all bolts you would need to reinstall.
