Fueling problem

A buddy of mine has a 02 Blazer4x4........The fuel tank wont let fuel in. When tring to pump fuel in the handle just clcks like its full.....It took almost 20 minutes to add 6 gal of fuel......We have checked the fill tube for blockages but nothing found. Is it possible something blocked in the vent system? Any help would be great.. Thanks

Re: Fueling problem

The fill tube has a vent hose on the inside of big hose.
Sounds like it is not venting back threw the filler hose.

Has the tank been off or fuel pump replaced before it started acting up?

If you can not get to the fill hose assembley and clamp on top of tank you may have to drop tank and remove filler hose.
Take the big outside hose off and see if the smaller hose inside is kincked or has come loose from the gas cap end of filler pipe.
