2 engine questions....

First off I had the defective intake manifold replaced and now I have my check engine light on. Its a 97 with 70k miles and a 4.6L V-8.
-The first code pulled was for a lean condition....could this be a vaccum line not properly reattached? Or what else....
-The second code was for a bad coil.....should I replace this one myself?

Re: 2 engine questions....

TT, If you have a lean condition then the engine is probably running rough. A vacuum line could be off, cracked or the new intake has a leak in it. Try spraying some WD-40 on the vacuum lines and around the intake. The engine should smooth out when you spray where the leak is. I would take it back to whoever replaced the intake and they should fix it for free. Check the vacuum hoses at the back of the intake. They tend to split. I don't know how mechanically inclinded you are but you should be able to replace the coil.
