How long will the OEM battery last

Hello, I've been wondering about putting a new battery in wifes 2004 Accord even though the original battery is still working fine, I just hate to have to worry about her being stranded.

The battery is going on 4 years old, what life are you getting out of these OEM batteries?
Any input on this is very welcome. Thanks, Don

You should be able to get 5 years (60 months). Most failures occur when the weather gets cold. So I would think seriously of changing it this fall.

Batteries typically fail anywhere between 3-5 years. At 4 years, if you're concerned about your wife being stranded, I'd replace it. The peace of mind is worth it.

Thanks for the advice, I'll probably replace this fall before winter gets here.
