94 Dodge 360 IGN. Problems

Hey boys and girls, I'm trying to help my son solve an ignition problem 2 states away. What type of ignition system would most likely be on this 360?

He said there are 3 wires going to the distributor. He has no spark at the moment but good cranking power. I'm having him check voltage at these wires but he said the coil is really hard to get to.

I would think it is HEI and not a points setup at this later year??? This is an old step van. Suggestions?? JD

Re: 94 Dodge 360 IGN. Problems

I suggest you try the jeep section. This is camaros and firebirds exclusively What year jeep is it? I have a 77 fullsized cherokee with a 360.

Re: 94 Dodge 360 IGN. Problems

Just getting used to this forum. I thought I was in the engine section. Didn't realize it was only camaros and firebirds.

The problem lies with a 94 dodge van with a 360. I think it may be the crank sensor.

Thanks for straightening me out.
