Do any of you actually have one?
I was wondering... (i just subscribed to this forums as i am a fanatic about cars)... how many of the people posting in this F1 section really own a McLaren F1? From what I know this car is EXTREMELY rare... and people are posting pictures like they own the car.. so... if you do own the car all i can say is "WOW".... if you don't all i can say is "were getting there guyz.... slow and steady wins the race?"..... but back to the question, "How many forums posters here own a McLaren F1?"

Read through the entire forum when you get a chance as there is some really excellent info available here. If you're truly passionate about the car as I am, and several others seem to be, you will find a nice home here. No, I don't actually own one. A close friend owns chassis #007. That car is about 30ft away in our showroom. But I do have the Owner's Manual at my house....

Frank Selldorf of Boston (Bluesky).
He owns 007, 068 (ex Brenner), and an LM. All cars believed to be in US, LM here or on it's way. 068 not aproved under S&D. Turner Motorsport works on his BMW racer.

are you sure he has three?
i was under the impression he has two. one here, one in england. the first one he bought could not be imported into the u.s. under show and display, as it is a 96+ model-year car, and yet does not have obdII. hence his purchase of a second, older one. at least, this is what the roundel magazine said. it would be really cool if he does have three. i believe he is a true enthusiast who drives his cars like they are meant to be driven, unlike the sultan of bruneii or his brother, who just keep their cars locked up in a warehouse. I have heard that they have either 7 or 13 mclarens between the two of them. can anyone else confirm if frank selldorf has two or three mclarens?

true, but i have an article lying around somewhere that was written by a brit journalist who was actually allowed to visit and photograph the cars. this article said there were rumoured to be 13 in the collection.
I also asked at the factory and two different people gave me two different numbers, one of which was 7. and last summer i ran into a guy in london who had an amazing collection of exotics, including the very first koenigsegg ever delivered to any customer. he had bought a bugatti eb110 from the sultan's collection and a couple of other cars. he also said that the sultan had 7 mclarens. rgds, faisal.
