Unhappy j30 in 300zx

I tried to see if i was able to find a thread on this but i couldn't. I have a 1991 2+2 300zx and after trying to fixing the engine several times and braking again decided to get another one but i cant find one in NYC. I found an engine from a J30 1993 and i wanted to know fisrt if the engine will just drop in with no modification or if i need to change something. My main concern is if the AT tranny will fit as well as if the ECU will work with no problems as well as if the electrical plugs will need to be replace. I dont mind that the J30 only has 210 HP isntead of 227 i just want to give my Z the last chance to be fixed before i sell it. I already posted it for sale but will not sell it if i can use the j30 engine that i found.

Re: j30 in 300zx

Said it once, say it again....

Same engine, different ECU mapping and exhaust routing. Its a VG30DE..

Read the information plate on the car. You will want to get the same year engine though. And again WHY dont you look out of NY? Why dont you go TT with it. You are spending more on finding cheap parts then just getting the right parts.
