Arrow parts interchange question

I have a 1995 Lebaron Convertible GTS 3.0 engine automatic, heated mirror (1-drivers), heated rear window....

My question is what models parts are interchangable if I go looking for any parts-used....ie: 1995 Lebaron Convertible GTS 3.0 engine automatic-ONLY?? OR IS THERE A RANGE OF YEARS OR MAKES (like Dodge/Plym) etc.???

If someone knows for sure or has any reference material I could check, please respond.

Have a peep at the Dodge Daytona and the Plymouth Acclaim.. they have similar parts such as the dash cluster. Also check out Ebay motors for parts as a lot are listed for lebaron, daytona and the acclaim

What kind of parts do you want?

Body parts on the LeBaron convertible are limited only to LeBaron coupes and convertibles only from 1987 to 1995. Some Dodge Daytona body panels *MIGHT* fit. If you're looking for a body part, just look. You will know if it matches your Baron or not.

Interior parts are limited to LeBaron coupes / convertibles and Dodge Daytonas from 1990 to 1995 only, for you. Although, certain buttons, door handles, the climate control device, the steering wheel, and the radio are interchangeable between most Chryslers of the era. Again, you'll know if it fits.

Mechanical parts... this is the fun part. Basically all Chrysler cars and minivans have the exact same running gear, suspension, and other mechanical components. From the late 80s to about 1995 for most cars, and the minivans still have the same parts for decades. Obviously not every car and not every part are interchangeable. But again, just look at it, you'll know if it fits. Fortunately, there is a huge supply of late-80s early-90s Plymouths, Dodges, and Chryslers in every junkyard. In fact you'll pretty much trip over a 90s Chrysler if you don't watch your step.

The only thing I should note is that later-model minivans have a slightly different 3.0L engine. I forgot what's different, not much, but you can identify it easily because the oil cap is yellow, your's should be black. As far as I know, all the Chrysler transmissions fit only on the engine they came out of the factory with. ie - 2.2/2.5L 4 cylinder engine's bell housing bolt pattern is different from the 3.0L's bolt pattern, and the 3.0L and the 3.3/3.8L are different as well, but I'm not 100% sure.

Computers are tricky. Most Chrysler computers look identical. In fact, the computers are the only things on this era of Chryslers that aren't interchangeable. Sometimes not even from the same model. The engine computer might be the trickiest, as there was a major change in the wiring for the 92 year I believe. They changed much of the engine computer wiring, but the main thing is how the injectors are wired. Installing a 91 or earlier computer in a 92 or later car will make the engine run on 3/6 cylinders. Body computers are second trickiest, although if they have the same number of plugs, and the same color of plugs, they should be interchangeable, but no guarantees.

Some cars that have interchangeable running gear/mechanical parts (with each other and your Baron):
-Plymouth Acclaim / Dodge Spirit / Chrysler LeBaron (sedan)
-Chrysler LeBaron (coupe/convert) / Dodge Daytona
-Plymouth Sundance / Dodge Shadow
-Dodge Dynasty / Chrysler New Yorker (FWD) / Imperial
- (Imperial was never available with a 4 cylinder or the 3.0L)
-Plymouth Voyager / Dodge Caravan / Chrysler Town & Country

And please don't tell me you want to convert your Baron to a manual transmission. Even if you felt like going through all that trouble, you probably won't be able to find the 5 speed transmission for the 3.0L engine. It's extremely rare, I think it might have been custom-order-only at dealerships.

Although, when the headgaskets went bad on my 3.0L Baron, I was considering putting a 3.8L V6 in it But I didn't... I changed the head gaskets, did a valve job, and changed the valve seals.

And you want reference material? LOL go to a junk yard and look under a hood, that's your reference material. No official source, or even unofficial source, will tell you that any parts are interchangeable because there's always the slight chance that they are not 100% identical, and would void your expired warranty and/or someone might sue the person who told them the parts are interchangeable. You get the idea. But in reality, the 90s Chryslers were all pretty much the same K car derivatives under the hood.
