Cylinder flooding

I have a cylinder that is flooding with gas. The injector has been changed, wires have been changed, and computer has been changed. Still, the problem remains. It all started when I changed an injector for a miss (wrong). Then changed plug wire (right). I noticed changed injector was raised and leaking fuel so tried to reinstall (I've put in 3 different injectors). That is when this problem happened. Cylinder flooding, white smoke and gas coming out the tailpipe. All bad.... any answers.? Thank you, [email protected]

That is not a good condition. If the injector was raised, then it is not seat ed correctly and "yes" dumping gas straight into the cylinder. I have a 96 2.2....the injector have a hold down bracket that will not work unless the injectors are seated. I have replaced all the injector at least once due to leakage. Bought GM seals, followed direction as to not damage the "O-rings", but still they leaked. So everytime I have to buy NEW one..and install them as instructed in the directions.

My injectors have two o-ring, a small black one at the bottom and a blue one at the top, both must in install and not damaged. Direction note to lube with oil first, i used vasoline.

If it will not seat....take a mirror and look in the bottom of the injector well....anything in it...maybe the small black o-ring???

OK.....I am from Texas....we spell things different!!! Vaseline....Vasoline...it is all the same in my book!!! ha ha

PTFE ( Teflon) o-rings...tough as railroad nails !!!
