2000 lincoln ls antifreeze leaking from bell housing

I have a 2000 lincoln ls v8 97,000 miles, just replaced water pump and now I notice very small amount of antifreeze leaking fron bell housing.

I would try a Metalic block seal,go by the instructions!
I would suspect leaking freeze plug behind motor.

Thanks Daniel, I think I may go that route. Thought it may be blown head gasket, fortunately I do not see any antifreeze in the engine oil. Should there be any concern with block seal possibly clogging engine water jacket?

Water Leaks can happen in the hoses,Heads,and Block!
Metallic block seal is made for this,and it Works.
If it's a leaky freeze plug the anti-freeze will leak out,it won't go into the block.
One of the last steps in the Metalic block seal treatment is to flush system
with clean water.

MCGIVER WATER PRESSURE TEST 102
A) Remove Thermostat
B) Buy one of those Radiator flush kits from the auto parts store.
C) Use the right water T and clamps for the job.
D) Connect garden hose and put radiator cap on.
E) Turn the water on with a little water pressure.
F) Water will come out of radiator cap and go into the overflow tank.
G) Pull the little black hose out of the overflow take and just let it flow.
H) Let the water pressure stay on for 30min.
I) Adjust water pressure if needed, the hoses should be hard + firm
J) Look for leaks around intake,and hoses while water pressure is on.
K) When complete,check Block for water Too.

Before going the sealer route, I'd suggest you pressure test the cooling system with a cooling system pressure tester. These install temporarily in place of the pressure cap, then the system gets pressurized to the appropriate system pressure. Do not overpressurize. Once the system is pressurized, check for the source of the trickling coolant. If you don't find a leak, run the engine to normal operating temp with pressure still on the system and inspect again.
