Keypad Entry Code for 2000 Ford Taurus

We recently bought a 2000 Ford Taurus sedan. We have one key to it and of course it cost alot to get another one made. However, it has a keypad on the door by the key hole. Could anyone tell me where that code would be on this model? Also, another issue. I have a 1997 Ford Windstar that is currently not working. Intake maifold I think. Anyway. Before I knew what happened I put about 25.00 dollars worth of gas in it. About a half a tank. I purchased a siphon hose from Oreilly's with the bulb and inserted it corrected. The gas comes up after squeezing but won't go through the hose for very long. What am I doing wrong? What do I need to do? Thanks very much.

Try using the search feature from the Taurus Forum main page ("Search this Forum."). The location of the keypad code has been addressed quite a few times, and on your 2000 should be located inside the cabin of your car. I'll let you try out the search feature to find the exact location. I see that's the same response I gave you 10 months ago the last time you asked though. Hmmm.... If you perform a search and don't find the code in the locations suggested, let us know and we'll dig out the service manuals.

As for the siphoning, it sounds like maybe the vent for the fuel tank is not open and therefore your siphon isn't able to replace the fuel you're trying to siphon with air. You may want to try holding the little flapper open at the fuel fill opening. Or, pull the hose from the vent valve. That may be located on the top of the fuel tank on the Windstar though.

True statement for the earlier Taurii, but not the case from 1996 on.
