New Header..Info Plz.

Hi all..well I want to get rid of the stock header and replace it but before I do I need a little information first. My car is a 1997 Cavalier LS 2.2L, what kind of header should I be looking for including any other parts I might need to go along with it. And some good websites would be great.

Also I was reading somewhere that putting an aftermarket header is illegal and would not pass emissions test..is this true? Beacause If it is I need to know before I go spending some mula.
Thanx

Re: New Header..Info Plz.

headers dont increase/reduce emmisions, catylic converters do, as long as your new header has a sensor port just like your current one does, you will have some place to put that sensor and all should be fine as far as the law is concerned

Re: New Header..Info Plz.

Word of advice... Do not buy ebay brand exhaust manifolds. Their stainless or chrome finish is really poor and 90% of the time their quality is shit.

Look for a pacesetter armor coated header. If you find a pacesetter brand on ebay then snag it up if you can.

On the subject Cody, is OBX a good brand? I see their products on eBay....(header, etc.)...always wondered that...

Re: New Header..Info Plz.

they're a pacesetter knock off company in stainless. I've heard of people using their products and are an Ok product.
