99 Grand Am GT cruise control switch

Is there anyway to fix the cruise control switch without replacing the entire unit?

The cruise control works, but the on off switch wont stay on.

I dont think this unit is available with out purchasing the entire air bag unit. You can goto a salvage yard and see if you can find a used one.

The switch controls are attached inside the steering wheel, plastic type of rivets, so you would need the whole part of the steering wheel skin.

I know thier's been several members having troubles with the on/off button not staying on. Its all plastic too so not much repairing it either.
