Rear Air on 01
My 01 W-star has the rear air option. It is no longer blowing out any air hot or cold. Any ideas on a solution?
Also the video screen has sound, but no picture. Any quick fix? |

Re: Rear Air on 01
I'm not sure if this might help, but here goes.
B/c you have the rear air option, you have a 2nd set of controls and parts to blow heat and air out the back. Take a look at your circuitry, fuses or any shorts. It also could be your auxiliary blower motor going out or its resistor. hope this helps.

Re: Rear Air on 01
Did you mean the fan is not blowing or you can't get it to give you the temperature you want? Does someone know if it is electric or vacuum operated? Either way, the vac line could be disconnected, pinched, blend door vac motor can not working or eletcrical issues with wires, temp switch, electric blend door actuator. Any new, not normal noises coming from it? I suggest you try Autozone.com repair section. They have reasonable directions and diagrams. You may have to enter an earlier year if yours is not listed.

Look around the hinges and see if its external, some are a peg and some have switches.. IF you see nothing, its covered inside the hinge itself. I beleive your front air has to be on for anything in the rear to work even on the 01.. Check fuses and Relay, Relay is in the back near the blower. A simple testlight will help you..
