Will a 92 Fuel sending Unit work in a 96

For some odd reason I'm having an issue hunting down a sending unit for my 96 XJ. I was looking at a tank from a 92 XJ and they look like the same set up. Just wondering if it is possible to use a 92 sending unit in my 96 or if someone could point me in the right direction for finding one.

I believe a fuel pump from 94-96 will work, the one from a 92 will work from 91-93.
