remote door locks
I took the glove box out and the right panel on the cowl (lower) and I can't see the remote box anywhere as described. I have a 95 TS SE with the 3.8. I would love to get this working as it is a PITA to walk around and lock all the doors. Can some one post me a PIX of what I am looking for?? Thanks. Or better Just send it to me Thanks for the anticipated reply.
I replaced the battery in the remote but still NO diference. |

Re: remote door locks
I don't have that box #7 mounted on the pillar post.....but when I push the button on the door I get a clicking sound from a box that is located at the top of the glove box door opening (when the box is removed) it is there by clips. I don't see any "Button" to push. Do I need to open the unit?? I believe this is probably what I am looking for BUT there is no reset button that is visable.

Re: remote door locks
Well I kind of remembered the box was in fact located much higher than shown on the picture...and I had to search somewhat for the "button"....
.......that was several years ago....but '95 can be different from my '93....nicke66 has the manual for his '95..may be he will enter the thread... here is another thread http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=748485 but still needs to find the button.... ..too bad feedback was not provided....

Re: remote door locks
The procedure and locations shown in the thread are the same for 1995 models.

Re: Yes, It is the same
Quote:
The code for Keyless entry system is AUO. Check if you find this code at the label in the glove box. |

Re: remote door locks
The main reason for door lock failure on these vehicles is the corroded splice under the passenger side front carpet- the driver's side will work- but the passenger side is inop---is this your original problem?

Re: remote door locks
When I bought the truck the remote locked and opened the locks. Then they just stopped. I would push the remote unlock button and the drivers door would unlock, 2 pushes and all would unlock. If I used the key the locks would activate(heard them work). When starting off the locks would automatically lock and if I put it in park they would unlock. Then all of a sudden this all stopped. Slider still works by the console button and pillar button, but no remote features. I'll look fo the control module again this weekend and see what happens.
