Integra Motor Question.
I need to find out what happened to my motor.
Symptoms are : Oil in the cooling system - Burning oil out of exhaust, slight knocking, and a rough idle (engine somewhat sputtering). Let me know please.

So do you think it would have damaged the main head?
Say, if i got a new gasket, and then placed the head on a different block, all would be well, right?

possibly as long as they go together but i know that if water gets in the oil or oil gets in the water the only place it can get in is the head gasket so double check it also a compression check on each cylinder would let you know what area the head gasket has failed or where the leak is also if you ran it long enough for it to knock then engine damage is eminent check the lower end like the main bearings for scoring and check valves too

Check the head and block for warping. if there is none, youre good with just replacing the headgasket (and an obvious coolant and oil flush).
