Dex-Cool Question?
you guys seem to be very knowlagable with this stuff so i have yet another question... i had my 1996 blazer for two years so i know by now they require Dex-Cool. when i bought my 2000 i noticed my cooland was deffinently not Dex-Cool.I think regular old 50/50 can sludge it up cant it? how do i know or not if its the new 50/50 thats good for any make or model? what is the differance between the 2??

i bought it used (101,000) it doesnt look like its been mixed (its bright neon green) no sign of dex-cool i will drain it today. thanks

Best to fulsh and change coolant ever 3 years or 50K. If you coolant has been in there 2 years and you are not sure what kind I would go ahead and flush it out and put in new good stuff.

Great info OM, I still believe the coolant "crusties" were too many stop leak tablets put in new engines at the factory.
