please help

swapped my tps sensor and now the car wont run. acts like the timing is off. sputters and pops. according to my repair manual the tps is supposed to be self calibrating. any help would be great.

You probally got a bad TPS. There isn't really a way to screw up the install.

it was running with the old one so i tried putting it back in and still nothing.1995 sts

On my '93 4.9 the TPS must be adjusted to spec. Can you loosen the TPS, rotate it a bit, retighten then try to start? On mine, the TPS has one long slot to allow for this adjustment.
