control arm bushings

So I'm going to be replacing the front right wheel bearing/hub assembly, lower ball joints, and inner tie rods on my 95 4x4 and was wondering how do I tell if the control arm bushings need replacing since I'm going to be almost there already and would hate to have to tear it apart again just to get the bushings.

Look real close for cracked and damaged rubber.

when you remove the ball joints see if the control arms move fore and aft if so replace......up and down is ok.....

Re: control arm bushings

On a 95 4X4, I'd say go ahead and replace the control arm bushings. It's alot of work, but if you're replacing most of the suspension, may as well get it all !

You can pay a shop to use a shop press and press out the old bushings, or, if you have air, you can use an air chisel to chisel out the old ones.

Be sure to mark the relationship of the torsion bar to the C-arms with either paint or by scribing ...

pinging under load or hard throttle. I have a stage 2 chip. KN filter and a 3in ext.
Timing has been checked 3 times. No bad codes when scanned. oct. booster helps a little.
Just had it smoged, Cat was toast ( 345k miles) replaced and passed. new tune up. Ran better after new cat. But power loss and the knocking are still there, And when I run it hard I smell the new cat getting stinky.

Welcome to the forum, there is a area dedicated to full size blazers, I would suggest going there and using the search tools, then if you can't find anything start a new thread there, you'll get a better response as area is devoted to the S series Blazers
