Unhappy Help with a chevy Monto carlo ss 2000

Was driving car and it started over heating and pulled it over and had it towed to house and put water in it next day to see if had a leak in water pump or if it was just over heating and tryed to turn car on and oil came out and drained on the bottm and then you can check where the water goes and feel the water its oily. my dad is thinking its the head or head gasket..Can someone help Please

Where and how did "oil came out and drained on the bottom," very unclear here!

It came out the bottom of the car..Not sure exctally where..But my dad thinks its the heads or gaskets or both..Its oily in the water part where coolant goes..We are gettin so sick of fixing the car and owe so much money on it still..could you help would be great cuz if not we just going to send it back
