Use a 12 volt test light put it on the coil positive if you have 12 volt put it on the coil negative have somebody try to start the car if it doesn't blink replace the pickup in the distributor. If it blinks pull the module and take it to Advanced or Autozone and ask for a free test.

Ditto on the ignition control module(Ford TFI module). It fails very often on this vehicle. And one of the symptoms is no spark. Before, no one could test the icm. Was a lot harder to diagnose. I'd just go ahead and pull the icm, have it tested and buy a new one if needed, buy the pickup if not.
