why wont it work?

why does everyone tell me that a front wheel drive engine(2.8,3.1,3.4)
wont work in a rear wheel drive applcation
cant i make my own bell housing to mount the tranny?(if i use an old steel one
or is that not the problem?
maybe there are other reasons?

Yes you could fabricate a bellhousing, but why not use a 3.1 or 3.4 from a 6cylinder Camaro, your question is full of questions?
