quick question about my GTX

2000 Grand Prix GTX 32K miles

well, today was the first day i took her outta storage. it was about 60 degrees and sunny here in WI, so i took up the offer to take er' for a spin

i got on the freeway and opened her up a bit. got the HUD up to 132 and let off, still had lots left too.

I've only had the car since the beginning of last summer, and have never gotten it going that fast. my question is...did SLP remove the speed limiter from these cars when they were sent in? i dont think i've ever been able to get any other GP's past 120ish w/o shutting off.

thanks guys/girls

Re: quick question about my GTX

I recall there were three levels or stages of performance in addition to the badging, exhaust and ram air hood mods supplied by SLP for the GTX package. Stage 1, 2, and 3. I believe Stage 2 and 3 were supplied with a custom/re-programmed PCM module.
