Question 2000 Olds Silhouette Heated Seats

My seats in my 2000 silhouette stoped heating. Is this a fuse that can be replaced or is there more to it?

No such luck. If you haven't seen any bad fuses, the problem is with the heating units in the seats. The heating wires in the seats become brittle and will break in the areas of the thigh pads. They will also break when a knee or childrens feet apply too much pressure in one spot. GM redesigned these and
they are fairly easy to replace. But a little pricey!!!

95% of the time the seat bottom element is open as mentioned above. Occasionally its the seat back element. Rarely its both but I have seen that also.
