time to take a elongated vacation from building

some rather stereotypical things were said about me because of the cars im building i decided to take a break before i do something i know im gonna regret

its a model people but if youre gonna stereotype someone because of the cars they like to drive or build then the hobby deserves its demise.

I think you do a good job on your models. I have seen many of them on Hobby Heaven when it was H.H.. I mostly reply on things I am working on my self since there is so much to look at on this site. However, some people can't seem to say anything but, negative things and since this is the internet they don't have to face the the fact that they are rude and will never be able to make friends with those attitudes.

Take a break if you need one, your models can wait until you a in the mood again.

The hobby isn't going anywhere. Despite occasional dramatic claims to the contrary, there is no demise in sight- as long as people enjoy it, it continues.

People will always be stereotyped about the cars they drive (or build)- because cars are an expression of individuality and taste.

Don't let someone else take your hobby from you because they don't share your taste. And don't let a web forum detract from your enjoyment of your hobby.

Yep and with rights. People have any right to criticize, comment judge your stuff, and on the other hand you have any right to ignore them

The question is: why you care so deep what people think? At last you know you like very kind stuff for a small group of lovers: you just can't pretend that anybody like same styles. I'm sure you should have satisfactions with your "circle group"

Personally I don't like the cars you replicate in scale: but I guess I never said nothing, if not regarding modelling techs., tastes is tastes: people should have respect for a different thing but you may have respect too for what mostly think.

We'll live all toghether I guess (in a better society...)

If you really love what you are doing, don't worry about what other people thinks. Why getting so worked up over comments in a forum?

For me, the main thing in building models are building cars the way I want them to be anyway.

Build what you like..and enjoy it! They are YOURS and sitting on YOUR shelf. No one else has to like it. Personally I don't like that style...But Im not gonna come in here and bash you for it. If everyone liked the same thing..it would suck!

Re: time to take a elongated vacation from building

I have a question? If building these type cars make you happy why do you care what other people think? Modeling about having fun and if your having fun keep doing it. Just a thought

Re: time to take a elongated vacation from building

Build what you like and how you like. What anyone else says should not matter. I don't build models for anyone else, unless I'm doing a commission, so I don't give a flying monkeys f**k what anyone thinks of what I build (and I've built over hundreds of models on commision) or how I build it. I build to suit my style and what I like, which is usually Irish rally related, and don't care what people say. Its your hobby do as you like and balls to the begrudgers. You'll find they're usually less talented modelers at that subject!!!

Re: time to take a elongated vacation from building

You build your models for other people or for yourself?

Critism is alway welcome so I can improve my skills but not I what I should build.
