Re: white smoke
Are you sure it is white and not light blue? The early TBI years are notorious for light blue smoke at start up due to a bad exhaust valve seal design. It only used an O ring and they crack over time.
White smoke is usually water/coolant so it could be a leaking intake manifold or head gasket. //2000CAYukon |

i went outside and turn the truck on... 1st time today, and your right, it is a very light blue smoke, not white... it only smokes when cold, 1st start up... so what do i need to do to replace the o-ring?

Re: white smoke
Fel-pro makes an updated exhaust valve seal.

Re: white smoke
I replaced them on my '89 with the umbrella style valve seals about 7 years ago. Worked like a charm.
