04 GP GTP...need help!!!

I have a 2004 Grand Prix GTP. It recently started to sputter when it is at an idol. Once I get going it won't sputter, but i have noticed a loss of torque and power. I have replaced the O2 sensors, sparkpugs, and cleaned the throttle body and EGR valve. I am at a loss as to what I need to do next. Please help.

THANKS,

NSUstud

I also forgot to mention that it takes several seconds for my GP to actually fire. It cranks at a normal speed, but it takes several seconds for it to actually start up. Wasn't sure if this would help with a diagnosis or not.

Re: 04 GP GTP...need help!!!

with long crank times, and what you are explaining...i would think it was a fuel issue. did you have the fuel pressure tested??

also...how long since the Fuel filter has been changed? i dont see the mileage on your car, but that may need to be changed

Re: 04 GP GTP...need help!!!

Sorry forgot to post the mileage...89000. Come to think of it the fuel filter probably does need to be changed. Where on a GP is the fuel filter located.

just follow the fuel lines from the tank. it is located on the drivers side, pretty much right underneath the rear drivers side door.

this would be my first guess, since the car has 89K and hasent had the fuel filter changed

**edit** i also see that you changed the plugs...did you replace the wires also? and what kind of plugs did you use?
