Re: 2000 Lumina starting prolem
Hey everyone, I had this same problem on my 1996 Lumina. I also had three different keys and it would not start randomly. I had to wait exactly 3 minutes for it to start. My problem wasn’t with the key, it was within the ignition itself. I sprayed some electrical contact cleaner in the ignition and some on the key and kept inserting it into the ignition and whipping the key off until it wasn’t leaving a black residue anymore. Ever since cleaning the ignition it has been starting great. *knock on wood*
If it starts becoming a problem again I will probably bypass the VATS system as discussed in this link: http://vats.likeabigdog.com/ |
