Re: engine turn off when switch to D

More info would help. Year; engine size; trans. Does it do it in rev? How does it restart?

Re: engine turn off when switch to D

This is 1999 Caravan, 3.3. Engine starts with no problem, when the gear switch to R, N, D, D1, D2..engine dies..My friend told me it could be the idle air control valve, I need second opinion. Thanks for your reply

Re: engine turn off when switch to D

Yes It could be a cause for it to stall. Especially if the throttle blade is very dirty.
